Mark Guns recently announced that he would not run again for the 5th District. So far I have heard 3 names floating around that are planning to run for his seat. One a Democrat and the other 2 Republicans. For now, I will keep the three names to myself. At this time, I believe one of the Republicans has the best chance of taking this district. He has a strong business background and many folks in the county know his name.

I think you must be obviously referring to Tom McWilliams. Tom gave Mr. Guns a very close run last time out. He is a community leader who has been active in service to the schools, the library, the chamber of Commerce and virtually every facet of what Cecil Countians hold dear. He has tirelessly worked for improvement in our community and would be an excellent Commissioner!
