Congressman Kratovil and Healthcare
It was announced in the Cecil Whig online edition that Congressman Kratovil can not attend the Democrat club meeting tonight as scheduled. I believe that this is more of a case that he will not attend tonight’s meeting. The house will be voting on their Health Care bill on Saturday and I think that the Congressman does not want to hear from his constituents about their opinion of this bill. The majority of the voters in this district do not want this Health Care bill. But this does not matter to him, he has forgotten that he was elected to represent the citizens in this district; he now represents House Speaker Pelosi.
Congressman Kratovil has already two strikes against him with his votes on the energy and stimulus bills. I believe that with his critical vote on Health Care coming up, Kratovil will be out of the game with three strikes. Folks can claim all they want that the results in Virginia and New Jersey elections on Tuesday were meaningless, I guess that we will all find out in 2010.

McGrady: Kratovil “Is Finally Waking Up From The Daze…”
Representative Frank Kratovil, representing Maryland’s 1st Congressional District is finally waking up from the daze he has been in since January, or so it seems. I received a form letter from him that declared that he would make sure to read and understand the entire health care bill that is currently on the floor of the House before he votes. It is interesting to me that he has embraced this idea now, after he voted for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Stimulus Bill to the rest of us) and the American Clear Energy and Security Act of 2009 (Cap and Trade Bill) without reading either of them. It is quite unsettling to me that he, along with hundreds of other Congressmen and Congresswomen voted to support this legislation knowing what it says. How much money has to be on the line before they will realize how ridiculous this behavior is?
Whether you agree with the idea that government spending will succeed in energizing the economy, or putting a cap on our emissions is right or wrong, it is unreasonable for any individual to sign the dotted line without understanding the contents within. The citizens of Maryland will not stand for this.
Hundreds of local citizens are planning to picket around Rep. Kratovil’s office at 202 S Main Street in Bel Air from 4-6P on August 11. Join us as we show Congressman Kratovil that voting with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi 86.1% of the time is not how you show your "fiscal conservatism".

McGrady: “Kratovil Voted For Cap And Trade (Without Reading It)”
Hello Patriots!
The Tea Party movement is taking to the streets against MD Representative Kratovil! A self-defined "conservative democrat," Kratovil voted for Cap and Trade (without reading it), for the "Stimulus" package (without reading it).
Let’s show him that we are not going to sit by while he votes to destroy our children’s future with higher taxes and more government programs! Join us in a protest and picket at Kratovil’s Bel Air office on August 11, 2009 from 4PM-6PM. Bring a sign or picket!
People will also be picketing tomorrow, on Tuesday July 28, 2009 from 11:00AM-1:30PM. If this suits your schedule, come out!
If you can’t make it, click this link to get in touch with Kratovil. His phone number is listed, as well as his address and a contact form!
http://kratovil.house.gov/contact/index.shtml
Maybe if we express our opinions loudly enough, he will vote against the House Health Care bill! We need reform, but not government-run medical care!
See you then!

TheHill.com - The lawmakers who pushed climate bill to passage
It seems that Congressman Frank Kratovil forgot who he was elected to represent in Congress. In "The Hill" yesterday, it was written - Frank Kratovil (D-Md.). The freshman lawmaker was seen on the House floor on Thursday shaking his head no on as Pelosi buttonholed him. Kratovil, one of the most vulnerable Democrats, voted yes on Friday. He likely was leaned on by fellow Maryland Democrats, Reps. Steny Hoyer and Chris Van Hollen, who are Pelosi’s deputies in leadership..
How many phone calls did he ignore from the 1st District? Fortunately for us, Congressman Hoyer and Van Hollen will not be able to vote for and save him in 2010.
